Theodore George Harwood Drake was born in 1891 in Webbwood, Ont. The family moved to North Bay, Ont., where he received his primary and secondary school education. He attended the University of Toronto, obtaining his M.B. in 1914. He interned for a year at the Toronto General Hospital before joining the Royal Army Medical Corps. On his return to Canada, he spent four years practising medicine in Saskatchewan before moving to Toronto to do graduate work at the Hospital for Sick Children. In 1928,...
